Members of the Group hold a variety of licenses and memberships across key financial markets. These include Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) regulated activities ("RA") licenses for types 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9; SEHK and HKCC participant (OTP-C broker number: 0974 and 0977), Insurance Broker Company license; Trust or Company Service Provider License in Hong Kong. Additionally, our fully owned U.S. broker-dealer subsidiary, Eddid Securities USA Inc., maintains approved membership with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the National Futures Association (NFA), the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), and the Nasdaq Stock Market LLC (NQX), and is a registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in the United States.
With a view to catching up with our rapid expansion, we are sincerely hiring talents to join our Group as In-House Legal Assistant.
Key elements of the job:
• Provide legal support to various business units within Eddid Financial, including fintech, asset management, investment banking, wealth management, securities, and alternative investments.• Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, Eddid compliance department and other stakeholders as required.• Review, draft, and negotiate a range of legal documents and agreements, such as commercial contracts, fund partnership agreements, and regulatory filings.• Conduct legal research and analysis on matters related to Eddid Financial's operations, products, and services, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of legal policies, procedures, and guidelines within the organization.• Support the legal team in handling corporate matters, such as entity structuring, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management to facilitate the legal and regulatory affairs of Eddid Financial.
The ideal candidate:
• Bachelor's degree or Juris Doctor degree in Law from a recognized university, from a common law jurisdiction (e.g., Hong Kong, England, Australia, New Zealand).• Preferably admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong.• At least one year of relevant legal work experience, at a reputable law firm or in the financial industry as in-house legal department.• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in English is a must.• Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.• Proficiency in legal and regulatory research.• The ability to adapt quickly to new situations, good business acumen and willingness to learn is an advantage.• Proficiency in legal and regulatory research.• The ability to adapt quickly to new situations, good business acumen and willingness to learn is an advantage.• Knowledge of financial regulations, digital asset landscape and fintech is an advantage.
Successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative group, be able to report directly to C-suite executives and gain valuable experience in various aspects of corporate and financial law.
